Afternoon / Evening Drop-in (Courts 1 - 13)

There are whiteboards attached to the fence of Court 1 for the upper courts and court 8 for the lower courts with multiple boxes.

Court 1

Court 8

On the top of the whiteboard there is an area where group leaders can indicate the status of courts that are not available for drop-in.  At the beginning and end of group play, the group leader should update the area to block off and release the courts that they have in use.

The courts that are not blocked off are then available for drop-in as follows (Daily Court Schedules can be found here)

1. Signing Up:

One player from a group that wants to play together should write the time and the names of all members of their group in the next available box on the sign-up board.
The group should consist of one of the following:
  1. Four names for doubles play
  2. Two names with the word ‘Singles’ added afterwards
  3. Two or more players with the word ‘Drills’ afterwards
  4. One or more names with the word ‘Ball Machine’ afterwards (The Ball Machine can be reserved in advance using this form)
  5. One or more names with the word ‘Own Ball Machine’ afterwards

    2. Court Assignment:

    • When a court becomes available, the group listed in the next box will take that court.
    • Write the assigned court number in the upper right corner of the box and cross out the box to indicate it's in play.
    • For Ball Machine, Own Ball Machine and Drills, write in the time that the group took the court.
    • If the next group is for Ball Machine, they will need to wait for court 3 or 6 to be free

    3. Game Play:

    • For Singles and Doubles – Play 1 game to 11 points, win by 2. Please keep warm-up time brief, especially when others are waiting.
    • For Drills, the group plays for 30 minutes and relinquishes the court
    • For Ball Machine and Own Ball Machine the group plays for 60 minutes and relinquishes the court

    4. Post-Game Procedure:

    • After your session, if you wish to continue playing, repeat the sign-up process.

    5. Court etiquette:

    • Be considerate when going through a court with a game in progress.
    • If you are the next group to play and you’re the first name in the square, make sure your group is ready and watch for the next available court.
    • After finishing your game, if there are no open courts, please leave the court promptly in consideration of other players.
